A pivotal partnership between Pollard and Irfan Khan revitalized the Karachi’s innings, propelling them to a score of 165 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Pollard’s unbeaten 48 off 28 deliveries played a significant role, while Imad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Agha Salman and Hunain Shah contributed with a wicket each for Islamabad.

In response, Islamabad’s Colin Munro and Hales formed a formidable partnership of 108 runs for the first wicket.
