Pakistan Women registered a morale-booster win against West Indies in the fourth T20I of the ongoing series at the National Stadium, Karachi. This victory comes after a series of defeats, with Pakistan finally turning the tables to win by 8 wickets on Wednesday.

West Indies Innings

West Indies, who chose to bat first after winning the toss, struggled throughout their innings, managing only 84/9 in their 20 overs. The top scorer for the visitors was Shemaine Campbelle, who hit 26 runs off 20 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to make significant contributions, with Zaida James being the second-highest scorer at 19 runs. The Pakistani bowlers capitalized on the situation, with Sadia Iqbal and Nida Dar both taking 3 wickets each, limiting the flow of runs and creating pressure that led to regular wickets.

Pakistan Innings

In response, Pakistan reached the target comfortably, scoring 87/2 in just 16.3 overs. Opener Ayesha Zafar led from the front, scoring a composed 42 off 48 balls. She was well supported by Gull Feroza who contributed a quick 21 runs. The West Indies bowlers struggled to make breakthroughs, with only Shamilia Connell and Afy Fletcher managing to claim a wicket each.

Player of the Match

Sadia Iqbal, whose bowling figures read an impressive 3/18, was deservedly named the Player of the Match. Her performance was pivotal in dismantling the West Indies batting lineup and setting up a platform for an easy chase.

This win gives Pakistan a much-needed boost, making the scoreline 3-1 in favor of West Indies with one match left in the series. The final match of the series is scheduled for Friday (May 3) at the same venue.
