Currently training at NCA, Surya posted a video on his Instagram, showing his intense recovery journey.

“Recovery process on point,” the caption of Surya’s post read.

This update from Surya is really an important one as the 17th edition of the IPL is just around the corner and star batter is putting his best foot forward to get back into the action.

Surya is an integral part of the Mumbai Indians squad. In IPL 2023, he played 16 matches and scored 605 runs, including one century and five half-centuries. He also emerged as the highest run-scorer for MI in that season.

Before the South Africa series, Surya had led India in the five-match T20I series, which India won with 4-1 scoreline.

Earlier this month, Surya met with former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the latter’s trip to India.

Solskjaer and Suryakumar both attended a function in Bengaluru. The two spent a short amount of time together and expressed mutual appreciation.
