In a breathtaking moment during the first T20 International between South Africa and Australia on Wednesday (August 30), the South African captain Temba Bavuma showcased his athleticism and precision by pulling off a remarkable catch to dismiss the aggressive Aussie batter Tim David.

David, who was in full swing, unleashed a blistering knock, amassing 64 runs off just 28 balls. He attempted to take the aerial route against wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, but the ball went up high into the air. Bavuma, displaying impeccable judgment, executed a perfectly timed jump to reach the ball at its highest point. Not only did he grasp the catch, but he also maintained possession as he tumbled to the cricket field.

With the help of David’s spirited half-century and Mitchell Marsh‘s unbeaten 92 off 49 balls, Australia compiled an imposing total of 226 runs for the loss of six wickets after being put in to bat first.
