Born on 30 April 1987, Rohit Gurunath Sharma made his international debut for India in 2007.

He initially started his career as a finisher but was later promoted to open the innings.

Rohit has smashed three double hundreds in One Day Internationals. It is most by any cricketer in the format.

His 264 against Sri Lanka in 2014 is the highest individual score in ODIs. Notably, 186 of those runs came from boundaries which is also a record.

Rohit has four tons to his name in T20I cricket. No other batter has as many centuries as him in the shortest format so far.

He’s one of the most successful IPL captains of all time and has guided Mumbai Indians to five championship triumphs.

Rohit also has a hat-trick to his name in the Indian league.

He has slammed centuries in all three formats of the game.

In 2019, Rohit became the first Indian to record centuries in each Test innings.

He also holds the record of scoring most hundreds in a single World Cup edition. He achieved the feat by smashing five centuries in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
