Team India continued their dominance over Bangladesh on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium inChattogram. The likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill gave no chance to Bangladesh bowlers, smashing their respective centuries to put India on top.

While Gill scored his maiden ton in the longest format, Pujara slammed his 19th century. The duo formed a scintillating partnership of 113 runs for the second wicket. Gill was eventually dismissed for a well-made 110 from 152 balls, with the help of 10 fours and three sixes. Pujara, however, stayed unbeaten on 102 as right after his hundred, captain KL Rahul declared India’s innings for 258/2 in 61.4 overs, setting up the target of 513 runs for the hosts.

At stumps, Bangladesh managed to post 41/0 on the board, with both openers Najmul Hossain Shanto (22 no) and Zakir Hasan (19 no) staying unbeaten. Earlier, India bundled out Bangladesh for 150, with left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav taking a brilliant five-wicket haul for 40 runs in 16 overs, including six maidens.
